ABOUT

Dr. Mary Lynne Mack brings a thoughtful, integrative approach to psychotherapy, shaped by decades of clinical experience and a deep respect for each client’s unique life story. She works collaboratively with adults seeking greater balance, emotional clarity, and resilience during times of challenge and transition.

Dr. Mack has had the privilege of serving clients in independent clinical practice for over 15 years. Her professional journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1989. She later earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Loyola University Chicago in 1992, which led to clinical work in both inpatient hospital and outpatient mental health settings. In 2003, she completed her Ph.D. in Psychology, with a minor in Medical Ethics, from Boston University.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mack has supported adults navigating anxiety, depression, health-related stressors, trauma, addiction, and disruptions within family and relational systems. Her work is grounded in the understanding that emotional well-being is shaped by multiple dimensions of life. As such, she takes an integrative approach that considers biological, psychological, social and familial, and — when relevant and meaningful to the client — spiritual aspects of experience.

Psychotherapy is a teamwork process focused on personal discovery, not just a generic treatment. Dr. Mack guides clients in finding their own healing paths by using practical coping methods and exploring their inner strengths. Her aim is to help clients improve their quality of life, build meaningful relationships, and develop skills for lasting emotional resilience.
